How do I play?

Open squares without hitting a mine. Each number shows how many mines touch that square, so use them to work out where the mines are, flag them, and open everything else. Tap to reveal, long-press (or use the Reveal/Flag switch) to flag, and tap a number whose flags are all placed to open the squares around it. You can replay the tutorial in Settings › How to play.

What does "no guess" mean?

Every board, including the Daily Minefield and Custom boards, can be solved by logic alone from your first tap. Sweepy checks each one with a solver before you see it, so there is always a safe move you can prove. If you feel stuck, a hint will show it to you.

How do hints work?

A hint circles the numbers that prove the next move and explains why. You start with 3 hints. When they run out you can watch a short video for 3 more, and if no video is available you get one free hint a day. Sweepy Plus gives unlimited hints.

What happens when I hit a mine?

The game ends, as in classic Minesweeper. You can take a second chance, which goes back to just before that tap and flags the mine for you: watch a short video, or it's free with Sweepy Plus. Or start a new board.

Why didn't my time count as a best time?

Best times and the leaderboards only count boards cleared with no hints and no second chances, so everyone competes on the same terms.

How does the Daily Minefield work?

Everyone gets the same board each day, and a new one arrives at midnight your time. Clear it on consecutive days to build your streak. Past dailies can be unlocked one at a time with a short video, or all at once with Sweepy Plus.

I bought Sweepy Plus but themes are still locked

Open Settings in the game and tap "Restore purchases" while signed in to the same Apple Account you used to buy it.

My progress is gone

Progress is saved only on your iPhone, so deleting the app deletes it. Scores you posted to Game Center stay on the leaderboards.
