Soaky Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
Soaky ("the game") is made by Cognito Labs. This policy explains what the game collects, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information.
Your progress stays with you
There's no account and no Cognito Labs server. Your springs, capybaras and settings are saved on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, the game also keeps a backup of your progress in your own iCloud account (Apple's iCloud key-value storage) so a new iPhone can pick up where you left off; we can't see it. The home-screen widget reads the same saved data on your device.
Game Center (optional)
If you're signed in to Game Center, the number of capybaras you've met is sent to Apple's leaderboard under your Game Center name, and achievements you earn are recorded there. Apple's privacy policy applies. You can sign out of Game Center in your iPhone's Settings.
Crash reports and usage statistics
To find and fix bugs, the game uses Google Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase. If the game crashes or something goes wrong (for example a purchase or a video that fails), it sends a report with technical details: your device model, iOS version, the game's version and what it was doing at the time. It also sends simple usage statistics, such as when you meet a new capybara, upgrade a pool or open a new area. These are tied to a random identifier for your copy of the game, never your name, email or advertising ID, and we use them only to improve the game. Advertising data is only shared if you allow tracking in Apple's prompt. See how Firebase handles data.
Ads
The game never shows ads you didn't ask for. You can choose to watch a short video ad from Google AdMob for in-game rewards, such as doubled coins or a bigger daily gift. Google may collect device information, approximate location from your IP address, and ad interactions to deliver and measure that ad.
- Personalized ads are used only if you allow tracking in Apple's prompt. You can change this any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form lets you choose how your data is used, and you can change your choice in the game under Settings › Privacy choices (ads).
- With Soaky Plus there are no ads at all.
See how Google uses data in ads.
Gift reminder (optional)
If you turn on the gift reminder, the game schedules a notification on your iPhone for when your daily gift is waiting. Nothing is sent to us.
Purchases
Soaky Plus is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. The game checks with Apple whether you own it; we never see your payment information.
Who helps us run the game
- Apple: the App Store, purchases, Game Center and iCloud backup.
- Google AdMob: optional videos and ad consent.
- Google Firebase: crash reports and usage statistics.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you can ask to access or delete personal data, or object to how it's used. Because the game keeps your data on your device, most requests are about ad data, which Google handles; email us and we'll help within 30 days.
Children
Soaky is suitable for all ages but isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above.
